Wedding Gift Panic: Last Minute Ideas That They’ll Love
You’re going to a wedding and you’ve got everything set, from your shoes to your outfit to your directions. The only thing left to do is bring the gift– do you have a gift?
Whether the wedding was spontaneous or you have been pressed for time or plain forgot, it’s a must to have a gift in hand when attending a wedding. Not to worry! If you need to get a gift at the last minute, we’ve got you covered.
Even though we’ve put panic in the title, the important thing to do when you realize you need a gift fast is to NOT panic! Perhaps your friends have decided that they don’t need a wedding event planner because they’re having a quick and small wedding that’s come up at the last minute. Perhaps you were so busy that you’ve had extremely limited time to even think of a gift, much less order it online or buy it in person.
Not to worry! Worrying will get you nowhere and it gets in the way of coming up with an awesome gift. The important thing to do is identify how much time you have on your hands– and have a back-up plan in case things don’t work out.
If you have three days or more and think you can get away with overnight or expedited shipping, then do it! However, this move takes a certain amount of bravery because you never know if the shipping will work out or something gets delayed along the way.
Your other option is to go out and buy something in person. This is a good strategy if you have time in your schedule to do it and want to actually have a gift in hand. You can then either have them gift-wrap it at the store, take it someplace to be wrapped, or go home and wrap it up yourself. (Don’t forget a card!)
Here are some great wedding gift ideas that are totally doable either way.
Spa gift card.
When the honeymoon’s over, they’ll be happy to come back and have even more options to relax. Keep the honeymoon vacation spirit alive! If they love spas or pampering, this is a great gift. Just be sure it is redeemable at a spa close to where they live.
Cash in a card.
Many people think this isn’t a good gift idea. Wrong! It’s classy, traditional, and most of all, welcomed by couples starting a new life together. Get a nice wedding-themed cash card and write a nice message and you’re good.
Matching his & hers shirts.
Available on Etsy and other online shops, these items can make a cute gift. You can go with tanks, shirts, long-sleeve shirts, or sweatshirts, all in a variety of colors and styles.
Some nice wedding photo frames and a nice photo book.
Really high end frames and photo books are a lovely way for the couple to commemorate their big day and fill up the pages of the photo book with memories.
