What Event Planners Do and Whether You Need One
When it comes to an event, do you really need a planner?
Some people are not sure whether they need event planning on a professional basis. It really depends on the event most of the time. While some individuals do have a knack for planning, even if you were the best planner in the world, you may want to hire one for certain events.
Why? For one, you can relax and enjoy the event the day of. That’s not what the planner does– they’re running around all crazy trying to make sure that everything gets done (or calmly walking, but either way, taking care of business).
You’ll also have a lot of the pressure of putting everything together off of you so that you can simply enjoy the day– reason enough to hire a planner!
While not everyone loves to write a check or give out some cash, one thing that you can count on is a planner being worth the money. Of course, you want one that comes highly recommended, and that’s key to. They say that you get what you pay for, and that still holds true!
Having a planner for an event could be the difference between an event that is totally put together and an end result that is less desirable! Planners do tons of research, calling, coordination, communicating, and tailor what they are putting together based on the needs and wants of the event or person throwing it.
They have to see the goals and objectives and do their best to make it happen! Planners also work with a specific timeline and schedule, making sure that everything is getting booked and vendors and more will come set up and everything will be ready by a certain time and point of the night.
Planners also organize absolutely everything. If this were a hive, they would be the queen bee, telling all of the workers what to do. They also are able to work the odd and sometimes long hours required to get the job done. If you are having a party or a charity event or a wedding or reception, this can be key. You are going to need to prepare for the big day, and sometimes preparing the event can really get in the way of that.
The bottom line is that event planners have the experience as well as the ability to manage all of the details that go into an event. They are operations and management that can take a vision and successfully bring it to life.
From sound to decorations to food and booking and managing the vendors, handling entertainment, telling people what to do and where to go, you can’t deny that when it comes to events, event planners make everything easier. It’s nice to know that you have someone handling things and making sure an event goes smoothly. All that’s left to do is find– and hire– the right one!
